Second Chance Mission
- To offer supportive services to women and youth affected by or at risk for involvement in sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, as they reclaim lives of choice.
- To raise community awareness about the issues of sex trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children and to work diligently to end the exploitation and victimization of women and youth.
- To advocate with women and youth throughout the country to secure and provide resources for treatment and services for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation.

| By 2008, those in Lucas County involved in the commercial sex industry will have immediate access to a comprehensive system of services and resources that will enable them to achieve independence and maintain a healthy lifestyle free of abuse, addiction and exploitation. By providing alternative opportunities, individuals, families and communities will be strengthened and revitalized. |

STRATEGIES
- To reduce the supply of individuals exploited by the sex industry by offering supportive and therapeutic services.
- To reduce the demand for exploitive sexual services by collaborating with police and neighborhood groups and by operating a John School.
- To educate, sensitize, and pursue quality responses from the criminal justice, health care, and social service systems to those exploited by the commercial sex industry.
- To partner with communities in an effort to reduce prostitution in neighborhoods.
- To be a voice for change in systems that create and maintain barriers to those seeking legal justice, political participation, and assistance from health and social services.
- To identify and secure reliable sources of funding that will ensure that an adequate level of services can be provided.
- Develop a comprehensive and reciprocal professional network of providers to establish a coordinated effort, collaborating and cross-fertilizing in areas of education, training, services and linkages for individuals engaged in the commercial sex industry.
- To provide prevention services those at-risk of becoming involved in the commercial sex industry.
