Helping Churches Help People
A collaborative network of a number of churches in the Toledo area, we provide a service to the church by doing all of the legwork involved in gathering information from a person in need and verifying the extent and legitimacy of the need and then making a recommendation to the church as to how the family can best be helped based on the information obtained. It takes the burden from the church pastor and/or secretary in having to determine who is truly in need. We also assist churches in determining what “gaps” are in their community and helping them to design ministry around those gaps. Working together helps churches utilize their very limited resources in the most effective way possible. The Clearinghouse assists those in need by gathering their information, doing all the verification necessary to give an educated recommendation to the church and scheduling their appointments for the various ministries in the churches. We have designed partnership agreements for both the churches and other agencies in the city who wish to collaborate with TAM Clearinghouse so that it is clear what’s expected of the church, agency, and Clearinghouse.
